Paul McCabe is a music student graduate of Maynooth University who resides in Mountnugent, Co. Cavan. Growing up in a musical household, pursuing a musical career was always a natural path for Paul to take. From the age of 10, he began piano lessons in Oldcastle, Co. Meath, where he learned the craft of music and performance. Taking part in musical events held by his secondary school, St Oliver Post Primary, he was awarded the 'Special Contribution To The Arts Award' in 2013 by the school. Following this, Paul was offered a place on Maynooth University's Bachelor of Music Degree course. In February 2014, Paul was employed as the resident pianist In Crover House Hotel. He played there weekly, performing for guests, weddings and social events. In 2016, Paul played at 54 wedding drink receptions throughout the year and following this, he was offered a role as the resident pianist in Matt The Thresher Restaurant in Dublin. Between August 2015 - October 2016, he hosted the Piano and Acoustic Sessions In The Headfort Arms Hotel every Friday night, performing as a soloist or an accompanist. Paul's talent was notably remarked by Chef Richard Corrigan, where he has played at private music sessions for the likes of Google and Apple, at his corporate venue, the Virginia Park lodge. Having a keen interest in composing and having done a Composition Major in his music degree, Paul headlined The Co Club in December 2014, where he showcased many of his compositions in his repertoire. Paul pursued a Masters Degree in Music Education at the University Of Limerick, which he completed in 2018.
